The iSLA550Ex is engineered for manufacturers who demand maximum uptime and efficiency in medium-format additive manufacturing. Unlike standard single-tank systems, the iSLA550Ex features a revolutionary dual-workstation design with automatic pallet exchange capabilities. Each station offers a generous build volume of 500mm (X) × 500mm (Y) × 300mm (Z), allowing operators to print two separate jobs simultaneously or prepare one job while the other is printing. This “lights-out” manufacturing capability significantly reduces idle time and doubles throughput for high-volume production runs.

At its core, the Forgecise iSLA550Ex utilizes a precise Diode-Pumped Solid-State Laser (Nd:YVO₄) operating at 354.7nm. Users can select laser power options of 1000mW, 2000mW, or 3000mW to match their specific speed and resolution requirements. The high-speed scanning galvanometer achieves recommended scanning speeds of 6.0 m/s and jump speeds of 10.0 m/s, delivering reference build rates of 50–140 g/h. The dynamic zoom optical system (spot size 0.10–0.50 mm) ensures exceptional surface finish and detail resolution, making it ideal for complex geometries and assembly-ready parts.

  • Dual-Station Efficiency: The defining feature of the iSLA550Ex is its two independent resin vats and elevators. While one part is being printed, the other station can be unloaded, cleaned, and reloaded, ensuring the laser never stops working. Each station supports a maximum part weight of 60 kg.
  • Extreme Precision & Stability: Weighing 1500kg, the machine is built on a robust frame with a marble reference platform and high-precision servo motors. This ensures a repeatability accuracy of ±0.01mm, critical for maintaining tight tolerances across both workstations.
  • Intelligent Recoating Technology: The proprietary Intelligent Positioning with Vacuum Adsorption Recoating system guarantees uniform resin distribution. It supports versatile layer thicknesses: standard (0.1mm), rapid build (0.1–0.15mm), and high-precision (0.05–0.1mm).
  • Advanced Thermal Management: The resin vat utilizes hot air heating to maintain optimal resin viscosity, ensuring consistent curing performance across long print cycles. It is compatible with Forgecise’s industrial photopolymers, including ZR680 (Fine White)ZR710 (Tough White), and ZR820 (High Transparency).
  • Seamless Workflow: Managed by the Forgecise iSLA (ZERO 5.0) control software and supported by 3dLayer for preprocessing, the system connects via Ethernet and supports standard file formats (STL, SLC, CLI).

With compact dimensions of 2.04m × 1.20m × 1.90m, the Forgecise iSLA550Ex fits easily into professional labs and production floors. It is the perfect solution for automotive component prototyping, consumer electronics housing, medical device modeling, and any application requiring high-mix, high-volume production with minimal operator intervention.
