High-Performance MS1 (18Ni300) Maraging Steel Powder is specifically engineered for Selective Laser Melting (SLM) and other metal additive manufacturing processes. With a precisely controlled particle size of 15–53μm, spherical morphology, and excellent flowability (40S Hall Flow), this powder ensures superior layer uniformity, minimal porosity, and exceptional mechanical properties in as-built and heat-treated conditions.

Ideal for high-stress applications such as injection molds, die-casting inserts, tooling components, aerospace landing gear parts, and racing engine components. After SLM processing and subsequent aging treatment, parts achieve ultra-high tensile strength up to 1930 MPa, yield strength up to 1890 MPa, and hardness up to 585 HV, while maintaining good toughness and dimensional stability.

Key Advantages:

  • Optimized for SLM/DMLS systems (e.g., EOS M290, Renishaw AM400, SLM Solutions 280/500)
  • Low oxygen content (≤0.15%) and sulfur (≤0.01%) for enhanced weldability and reduced cracking
  • High apparent density (4.3 g/cm³) enables efficient packing and consistent melting
  • Fully traceable chemical composition compliant with ASTM A564 Type 630 / AMS 6512 specifications
  • Suitable for post-processing: solution annealing + aging, HIP, EDM, polishing, nitriding

Technical Specs Summary:

  • Particle Size: 15–53μm | Morphology: Spherical | Flowability: 40S
  • Chemical Balance: Fe + Ni(17–19%) + Mo(4.2–5.2%) + Ti(0.8–0.9%) + Al(0.05–0.15%) + trace elements
  • As-Built Properties: ≥99% density, 8 g/cm³, 1090+ MPa UTS, 1000+ MPa YS, 10% elongation, 323 HB
  • Heat-Treated Properties: 1930 MPa UTS, 1890 MPa YS, 4% elongation, 585 HV hardness
